This prompt was inspired by one of @Laura's post. It's been about a year since all of this madness started. But for some of us, it was a huge learning opportunity. What are some things you learned or got out of everything that happened this year?
Here is Laura's post if anyone would like to check it out: https://asafeplace2share.wixsite.com/asafeplace2share/forum/share-your-story/reflection
Due to spending 90% of my time at home, I picked up and improved so many skills. Trying out new recipes has been a big favorite.
Because I was home a lot, I was able to really get to know my neighbors and they are amazing! I learned that there are often wonderful people right next door and if I'm too busy, I might miss the gift of a great friend.
I learned how to be innovative. With so many crazy restrictions that were added, I refused to cancel events, like everyone else was. I decided to take those events and make them COVID friendly, but still fun at the same time. For example, my school announced that they weren't going to host a Winter Formal. So I organized one myself. We made our house look like a school dance with an actual dance floor, snacks, and a photo booth. And we invited all of our close friends. You just have to get creative.
