Hey all! The past couple of years have been pretty rough. Back in 2017 I lost my mom through harsh circumstances. She was everything to me and one of 3 most important people in my life. It was a lost that cost me greatly. In the following years I lost a lot of things. My brothers, my friends, my school, my home and even myself. I have made some pretty horrible choices and am now at a crossroads. Last night in a dream I finally understood what I need to do. It's time I reconnect with things I love most. To stop being the expectation of everyone else and to just find who I am. I hope everyone has a place to be themselves! 💕

Oh honey, I am so sorry that your mom passed away. What a devastating loss. People cope with loss in so many different ways, especially through making "horrible choices." You are more than your choices and actions. You deserve unconditional love and support! It's okay if you take a few steps backwards before moving forward. Yes, we are all rooting for you and I bet your mom is too!!
I am so sorry that the past couple of years for you has been hard. I am so glad that you are here and that you are going to work on finding yourself again. I wish you the best of luck on your new story. Thank you for sharing this is really helpful!
Cara, you inspire me with your bravery and honesty. I lost someone who was like a mom to my in June. I miss her so much everyday. I love how Abby said in the comment above that we are rooting for you. Its true! We are! I am so glad you posted this and I am so glad you are pushing through. Not just for you but for all of the lives you will impact with your story.
Cara, thank you for being so honest and sincere. There is no pain worse than the pain caused by loss. You've already experienced more loss than a lot of people experience in their entire lives, so it's understandable that you would make bad choices. Give yourself some grace! Here is the amazing thing, you are strong and powerful, and you can make your life whatever you want it to be. (Read my story to see an example of someone who screwed up her whole life, but turned it around.) As you reconnect with the things you love most, I hope you put yourself on the top of that list. I hope you love yourself the very most, because you are amazing and you WILL do great things. "One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is love." Sophocles. You are SO loved, and you are SO important! Keep us posted on your journey. We're rooting for you!!!
I'm so sorry all of this happened to you, but I'm glad a sign finally appeared telling you what you need to do to make everything better. Thanks for sharing!
